Hey fans of me,
Some of you losers don't know, but I'm a lazy, fat ass who plays games, and yells at people on the phone, including ~Saraneth-42, and kills little fuzzy animals, and is bestest friends with my neighbor SQUEE, and brother to Satan. Now that I've told you my secrets, you must die. Your eyes will now explode in your body, and I will come to get your body to paint my wall with it. So anyways, now that I have you thingking about your impending doom, I went to ConnectiCon this year, it was my first con, and I'm too lazy to type about it. SO here is a link to the most amazing, lovely, beautiful, cute, kind, caring, astounding, perfect persons journal of the same subject. I went with her to this con, and she is the only one spared from the rest of your fates. Enjoy:

My report of ConnectiCon 2007 is as follows. It's long, so get comfortable.

FRIDAY:
Mr. ~PsychoCasualty and I spent the entire weekend up in Hartford at ConnectiCon 2007. I was cosplaying as Meryl from Metal Gear Solid and Devon was cosplaying Johnny Sasaki also from MGS.

The first day, we got there probably around 10. We walked out to the registration line and a ton of people started taking pictures of us. We were talking to a girl dressed as someone from Bleach and a dark Link. They got in a fight and the Bleach girl threw her Sprite bottle at the dark Link and killed part of his sword. She was all upset that her bottle was dented, but about 10 seconds later asked Mr. Dark Link to throw it out. xD We found out that we were in the front of the line, so we went to get in the back but the nice Link and Bleach girl said that we were there the entire time. Pretty nifty.

We finished up with registration and headed up the escalator to the main part of the convention. A ton of pictures of us were taken and a lot of people were telling us about how there was a Solid Snake around. We looked all over and finally went back to the main part and looked down where the registration line was. Devon spotted Snake about the same time he saw us. He took the cardboard box he had and ran up the escalator right when Devon was running down one. After and epic battle, Mr. Devon managed to steal his box.

The dealer's room was kind of sad this year. I don't think there was as much as there was last year... But we still bought Hellsing vol 8, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, a ton of Ramune and other random goods. I had some artists draw stuff for me which made me happy. Hawk from AppleGeeks drew me a really nifty picture. : 3

I made the mistake of getting a slice of pizza before leaving. On the drive home, I felt like I was going to be sick. We ended up stopping in a kind of ghetto part of Middletown and Devon's dad was really awesome and bought me a ginger ale to help my stomach. I was lucky and didn't actually get sick or anything, but while talking to our friend Keith on Saturday, he informed us that he did get sick after eating a hot dog. Kind of gross...

SATURDAY:
Mr. Devon and I arrived at the convention around the same time on Saturday. We stopped by the webcomic auction for a bit and I got to see Mookie sold for around $450. Last year he apparently sold for only $200. Mookie looked so confused.

Mr. Devon was wonderful and bought me a Cthulhu plushie as seen here on his head: [link] We ended up spending most of the day wandering around, getting into epic battles with Snake, taking pictures, getting our pictures taken, and whatnot. There was a rave that started at like 9. We stoped in for a few seconds and deemed it depressing and left on our merry way back to get some much needed sleep.

SUNDAY:
Sunday was mostly spent on cosplay chess. It turned out that we weren't picked as any of the pieces but as actual special attacks for Chi from Chobits. We went up twice and the first time I got to bitch slap someone...it was fun.
The second time, Chi was going to be taken out so I snuck on with Snakes box, Devon followed me on and Snake followed him out and "knocked him out" and dragged him off the stage. I looked out and then snuck back off.
